Tully E. Turner, age 91, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.

Tully was born on May 21, 1926 in Somerset, KY to the late Tom Turner and Francis Hall Turner.  He was a WWII veteran of the United States Navy.  Tully enjoyed wood working and making furniture.  He worked at Southern Belle Dairy for over fifty years.  Tully was a pastor at several churches, including the following; Cedar Point, Oak Grove, New Enterprise, Sunny Side, Eden, Pleasant View in Lincoln County, Malvin Hill, Floyd Switch, Little Oak in Albany, Pikeville, Dixie Bend and Fairland Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Pittman Turner, whom he married on March 1, 1947 in Jamestown, KY; two sons, Bruce (and Judy) Turner of Somerset and Ronnie (and Kathy) Turner of Somerset; one sister; Maudia Simpson; four grandchildren, Reece (and Jaci) Turner, Rachel (and Matt) Litteral, Ronnie Turner II and Emily Turner; and his great grandchildren, Austin Turner, Clayton Litteral, Grayson Turner, Carter Litteral, Clark Litteral, Charlie Turner, Riley Turner and Jackson Turner.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Avery Turner and Avis Turner; and three sisters, Leettie Buster, Emma Phillips and Marie Wright.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

His funeral service will follow on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 12:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Epperson, Bro. Gilbert Robinson and Bro. Murl Crockett officiating.  Burial will be at Mill Springs National Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Ronnie Turner II, Reece Turner, Matt Litteral, Clayton Litteral, Grayson Turner, Rick Mounce, Larry Pittman and Ronald Sumpter.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Roy, Jeff Pittman and Roger Pittman.  Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Family Life Center at Calvary Baptist or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
