Sue Tarter, age 79, of Nancy, KY, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at UK Medical Center.

Sue was born on January 5, 1939 to the late Charlie and Vida Cundiff Roberts.  She was a retired School teacher with the Pulaski County School System.  She attended Lindsey Wilson College and graduated from EKU in 1962.  Sue loved spending time with her grandchildren and teaching them to read.  She enjoyed fashion, traveling and loved all of her pets.  Sue was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and later attended Bethlehem Baptist Church and Lakeside Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, J.C. Tarter, whom she married on October 7, 1959 in Faubush, KY at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church; three daughters, Trena (and Randolph) Schultz of Sarasota, FL, Jamie (and Thomas) Greene of Nancy and Julie (and Jeremy) Osman of Nancy; two brothers, Jim (and Imogene) Roberts of Nancy and Teddy (and Joyce) Roberts of Faubush; two sisters, Lois Hatfield of Nancy and Betty Garner of Nancy; eight grandchildren, Caleb Schultz, Jared Schultz, Kiley Greene, Andrew Greene, Eva Sue Greene, Logan Osman, Chase Osman and Hayden Osman; one great-granddaughter, Stella Marie Monard; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Milburn Roberts and Vertrees Roberts; one sister, Marita Pitman; and two infant sisters.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Lester Caldwell officiating.  Burial will be at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
