Stanley Brent Wesley, age 82, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.

Stanley was born on April 24, 1936 to the late Thomas Wesley and Martha E. Hodge Wesley.  He was a longtime member of Langdon Street Baptist Church.  Stanley was an honorary member of the Somerset Pulaski County Rescue Squad.  He was the manager of the Phillips 66 Gas Station on East Mt. Vernon Street for many years.

Stanley is survived by his daughter, Susan Elizabeth (and Robert) Young of Cincinnati, OH; one brother, George (and Ruthie) Wesley of Oak Ridge, TN; one sister, Shirley Burton of Nancy; one sister-in-law, Rita Grimsley (and Rick) Gilreath of St. Louis, MO; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Lisa Stearns of Somerset; and his dog, “Missy.”

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Mae Grimsley Wesley, whom he married on August 1, 1964 and she preceded him on December 24, 2013, his life was centered around her and he missed her very much; four brothers, Roscoe Wesley, Allen Wesley, Naper Wesley and Eugene Wesley; and five sisters, Louise Haste, Bernice Wesley, Stella Wesley, Liddie B. Young and Mary Agnes Wilcox.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

His funeral service will follow on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Sutton officiating.  Burial will be at Sardis Cemetery in Science Hill.  Pallbearers will be Donnie Wesley, Hobert Wesley, Raleigh Grimsley, Hershel Haste, David Burton and Michael Grimsley.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Somerset Pulaski County Rescue Squad or Sardis Cemetery Fund.
