Ruby Long, age 84, of Eubank, KY, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Ruby was born on September 11, 1933 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Grant Spurlock and Anna Mae Stewart Spurlock.  She was a member of Huffaker Assembly of God.  When Ruby and Millard were unable to attend church they went to their garage and setup a place of worship that they called “The Old Path”.  Ruby loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Doris (and Larry) Day of Union, KY, Mary (and James) Leffler of Berea, KY, Jimmy Long of Eubank, KY, Juanita (and Jerry) Roark of Florence, KY, Clara (and Jack) Disney of Wallins, KY, Sandy (and Gary) Smith of Berea, KY and Debbie (and Chester) Brock  of Eubank, KY; two sisters, Phyllis (and Gary) Howard of Wyandotte, MI and Wanda Boley of Au Gres, MI; seventeen grandchildren, Angela Wilder, Amanda Day, Rhonda Moyers, Valerie Pate, Kimberly Bray, Tiffany Smith, Brandie McKeehan, Jerry Roark Jr., Mikayla Roark-Huddleston, Kristie Hensley, Brian Disney, Amy Eads, Heather Couch, Kayla Parker, Josh Smith, Zach Smith and Tonya Johnson; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Long, whom she married on October 29, 1948 in Whitesburg and he preceded her on February 7, 2016; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Patton Long and Nancy Hensley Long; two infant children, Perry Long and Ambrose Long; two brothers, Denver Spurlock and James Spurlock; one sister, Hazel Baker; one son-in-law, Curt Simpson; two infant grandchildren, Pamela Day and Eric Simpson.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.  Another visitation will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Huffaker Assembly of God.

Her funeral service will follow on  Saturday, at 1:00pm at Huffaker Assembly of God with Bro. Chuck Elam, Bro. Perry Long, Bro. Doug Daniel and Bro. Troy Witt officiating.  Burial will be at Woodstock Cemetery.
