Ronald Dye, age 67, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.
Ronald was born on December 30, 1950 in Pointer, KY the son of Louise Cook Dye and the late Edwin C. Dye. He was a retired evening Supervisor at Oakwood, formerly worked at EMS in Somerset, Pulaski County Sheriff Department as a Dispatcher and Tarter’s Wrecking in Company Sales. He was an Army Veteran where he served two tours in Vietnam. Ronald was saved at Saline Baptist Church, where he and his family attend. Ronald loved the Lord, attending church, Camp Cannan, taking care of his family and extended family, especially his beloved dogs “Zeus” and “Rascal.”
He is survived by mother, Louise Dye of Nancy; his wife, Sharon Baugh Dye, whom he married February 1, 1975 at Fishing Creek Baptist Church; a daughter, Jennifer Dye Harrison; two sisters, Jo Ann Logan and Janice (and Ron) Terry of Nancy; four grandchildren, Justin Foley, Kearstyn Foley, Sydney Down and Tyler Harrison of Somerset; two great-grandchildren, River Foley and Genesis Debord of Somerset; sisters-in-law, Janet Dye of Eubank, Mary Ann Wilson of Nancy and Judy Baugh of Nancy; mother-in-law, Margaretta Baugh of Nancy; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his father he was preceded in death by his identical twin brother, Donald Dye.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
A second visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 29 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Saline Baptist Church. His funeral service will follow on Wednesday at 1:00pm at Saline Baptist Church with Bro. Noah Broughton and Bro Melvin Sisson officiating. Burial will be at Mill Springs National Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
