Michael “Jason” Mullins, age 42, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017.
Jason was born on July 10, 1975 in Somerset, KY to Alan Sams and Kathy Leigh Sams. He was a self-employed Motorcycle mechanic. He was a 1993 graduate of Pulaski County High School and Somerset Community College where he received his Associate Degree. Jason also attended Campbellsville University. He was a member of Sumthin Motorcycle Club and Oak Hill Baptist Church. Jason loved his family very much. He was a loving father to his children and a loving husband to his wife. He was a very helpful and giving person. Jason will be missed by all.
He is survived by his parents; his wife, Julie Anne Mullins; two sons, Skyler and Landyn; one daughter, Seanna; one brother, Jim (and April) Mullins; three sisters, Nova Mullins, Jamie (and P.J.) Chesson and Krissi Sams; special paternal grandparent, Jennie Harris; special grandparents, Larry Diamond, Marie “Toni” Phillips, and Ron and Nancy Henderson; a sister-in-law, Joy Sloan, two aunts, Vicky Bennett and Karen Sams; and one very special aunt, Jackie (and Tom) Wolf; three uncles, Jeff (and Liz) Leigh, Johnny Leigh and Steve Sams; six very special nieces, Jaidyn, Sophie, Maddy, Raven, Presley and Keely; two very special nephews, Tristan and Cash; numerous cousins, and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Shawn Sams; one uncle, Larry Sams; maternal grandparents, Carlos and Mildred Leigh; and paternal grandfather, Bill Sams.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Rankin officiating. Burial will be at Eubank Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary, Beard, Crash, Rizo, Fuze, Chuck, Joker and Cougar.
