Marvin Clifton Colyer, age 75, of Burnside, KY, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.

Marvin was born on June 30, 1942 in Ferguson, KY to the late Clifford Colyer and Kathryn Phelps Colyer.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Bronston.  Marvin was a Truck driver for Warner’s Fertilizer.  He loved building furniture, painting artwork, going to the Flea Market, and fishing and camping at Bee Rock.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Nadine Morrow Colyer, whom he married on July 23, 1981 in Somerset; one son, William “Peanut” (and Ruby) Sullivan of Burnside; one daughter, Mary Kathy (and Lester) Loveless of Burnside; three grandchildren, Jason (and Alicia) Sullivan of Burnside, Austin McFerrin of Monticello and Brad Neal of Monticello; and one great grandson, Amos Sullivan.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Russell Wayne Sullivan; and one daughter, Barbara Richardson.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 12:30pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.  Burial will be at Burnside Cemetery.
