Martin “Marty” Louis Wooton, age 83, of Bronston, KY, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Martin was born on June 21, 1934 in Combs, KY to the late Matt Wooton and Sophia Engle Wooton.  He was a member of the local AMVETS, VFW and was a KY Colonel.  Martin was very outgoing and loved driving his truck and traveling.  He was a truck driver for Garner Trucking.  He enjoyed collecting guns and was an avid football, basketball and NASCAR fan.  Martin loved animals, especially his cat Goldie.  He was a giving person, very organized, meticulous, and had a great sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Eldridge Wooton; three brothers, Dave (and Samantha) Wooton of Cedar Lake, IN, Don (and Fran) Wooton of Mich. and Fred (and Sue) Wooton of London, KY; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jerry Flynn.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Wooton, Aaron Wooton and James Wooton; three sisters, Vida Pickett, Edna Dunnigan and Sally Grimes; and four infant deceased siblings.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

His funeral service will follow on Wednesday, at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Wiles officiating.  Burial will be at Williamstown Cemetery in Williamstown, KY at a later date.  Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Pulaski County Animal Shelter.
