Herman Lee Turner, age 70, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018 at his home with his daughter, Ida Wilson by his side, along with Thelma Turner and John Wilson.

Herman was born on October 15, 1947 in Somerset, KY to the late Robert “Bobby” Turner and Dorothy Lee Brown Turner.  He enjoyed watching Nascar Races.  Herman loved spending time with his granddaughter, “See Baby”.   He loved going to her beauty pageants and his world was centered around her.

He is survived by two daughters, Ida Lee “Motor” Jennings Turner (and John) Wilson of Somerset and Sheryn (and Kelly) Perry of Somerset; two brothers, Marvin ”Buck” Turner of Somerset and Marlin “Bimbo” (and Sandy) Rose of Science Hill; four sisters, Nellie Molden of Faubush, Shirley Colyer of Ohio, Anna Mary (and Joe) Colyer of Ohio and Peggy (and Mike) Sumpter of Science Hill; two grandchildren, Ivannia Lee Wilson “his See Baby” and Allie Perry; two grand-dogs, Tamalee and Tiger; several nieces and nephews, and one very special niece, Thelma Turner.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Mae Turner, whom he had been married to for 43 years and she preceded him on July 10, 2018; one brother, Robert Howard Turner; and four sisters, Ann Harness, Connie Redding, Flora Mae Hollars and Pauline Wesley.

His visitation will be on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

His funeral service will follow on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 12:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Cox officiating.  Burial will be at Tanner Cemetery.
