Gladys Willine Chaney, age 80, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Gladys was born on September 27, 1937 in Ano, KY to the late Dewey Abraham Burdine and Ora Eller Hash Burdine.  She was a member of Parkers Mill Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Gene (and Brenda) Chaney of Somerset and Jackie Wayne (and Nancy) Chaney of Eubank; two daughters, Sandy Wesley of Somerset and Joy (and James) Denney of Woodstock; three sisters, Inez (and Jerry) Insko of Whiteland, IN, Irene (and Robert) Nolte of Beech Grove, IN and Glenda (and Dennis) Hibbard of Glasgow, KY; 14 grandchildren, Billy Wesley, Misty (and Brad) Ezell, Elaine (and Bill) Burnett, Amanda (and Richard) Futrell, Michelle Campbell, Derek (and Rhiannon) Chaney, Darren (and Mary) Chaney, Adam Chaney, Matthew Chaney, Joseph Denney, Stephanie Denney, Ashley Wesley, Chris (and Misty) Acey and Jason (and Kristina) Acey; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Jesse Chaney, whom she married in Indianapolis, IN on August 29, 1951, and he preceded her on August 18, 2004; two daughters, Julie Lee Chaney and Libby Acey; one infant daughter, Barbara Chaney; one son-in-law, Sherman Wesley; three brothers, Winfield Burdine, Donward Burdine and Willard Burdine; four sisters, Winona Farmer, Jewel Spears, Helen Spicer and Wanda Smith; and one infant sister, Faye Burdine.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Darry Hatfield officiating.  Burial will be at Catron Cemetery.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Catron Cemetery Fund.
