Gladine D. Walden, age 93, of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Hillebrand Nursing and Rehab Center in Cincinnati.

Gladine was born on April 28, 1925 in Tateville, KY, to the late Parker Wesley and Dessie Flynn Gibson. Gladine was of the Baptist faith and a member at Denham Street Baptist Church before moving to Cincinnati 18 years ago. She enjoyed reading her bible and loved talking to people over the phone even if it was just to call and check up on them.  She loved the country music artist, George Jones and loved to help people. On June 30, 1973, she married the love of her life, Bobby D. Walden.  They shared over 27 years together, until his passing on August 7, 2000.

She is survived by two daughters, Vickie (and Paul) Carlton of Cincinnati, OH and Diana Hines of Muncie, IN; two sons, Jerry (and Tina) Reed of Lebanon, OH and Mark (and Patty) Heidotting of Cincinnati, OH; two brothers, Carl Gibson of Bronston, KY and Theodore Gibson of Florida; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and a special best friend, Patricia (Gary) Simpson of Somerset, KY.

Along with her parents, Parker and Dessie Gibson, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Walden, one daughter, Priscilla Goldstein; three brothers, Hurstle, Raymond, and Willie Gibson; one sister, Gladys Gibson; one son-in-law, Eston Hines; and four sisters-in-law, Willa Dean, Joyce, and Helen, and Aileen Gibson.

Visitation for Ms. Walden will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Wiles officiating.  Burial will be at Bronston Cemetery.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to everyone who helped Gladine over the years, especially her nieces, Terry, Kathy and Carolyn, and a very special care giver, Denise Hendley of Cincinnati.
