Frances Rose Lewis George, age 77, of Burnside, KY, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was known to her family and friends as “Grandma Johnson”.

Frances was born on October 3, 1940 in Sloans Valley, KY to the late Otho Lewis and Oda Bray Lewis.  She enjoyed hunting Ginseng, fishing and being outdoors.  Frances especially loved her grandchildren.

She is survived by four children, Linda Decker of Monticello, Betty Chesney of Monticello, David Johnson of Bronston and Vivian Gibson of Somerset; four brothers and sisters, Gearld Lewis of Burnside, James Lewis of Dixie Bend, Anna Childers of Somerset and Sandra Phelps of Somerset; ten grandchildren, Chuck Latham, Lisa Decker, Barry Turpin, Sunshine Herrin, Shawnee Phelps, Destiny Simmons, Jeffery Dalton, Caylee Johnson, Kyle Wilson and Madison Wesley; fourteen great-grandchildren, Dakota, Brandon, Mattilyn, Zeplyn, Savanna, Mason, Bobby, Christopher, Katelynn, Donovan, Benjamin, Kylee, Aaron and Keria; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Dalton; two brothers, Carol Lewis and John Lewis; three infant siblings; one grandson, Shawn Wilson; one granddaughter, Brandy Turpin; and a special friend, Neal Childers.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will follow on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 12:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Childers and Bro. Mark Davis officiating.  Burial will be at Sloans Valley Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Grandma Johnson’s grandchildren, Kyle Wilson, Barry Turpin, Lisa Decker, Sunshine Herrin, Jeffery Dalton and Shawnee Phelps.
