Beulah Carrender, age 99, of Danville, KY., formerly of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Charleston Health Care Center in Danville.

She was born on September 19, 1918 in Estill County, KY., to the late William and Ida Cole Begley. She was a retired store owner and keeper of Lake Trail Grocery in Faubush, KY. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of First Apostalic Church in Somerset.

She is survived by one son, Robert Carrender of Nancy, KY; two brothers, Elijah Sonny Cole of Irvine, KY and Michael Begley of Richmond, KY; one sister, Carolyn Bratton of Lancaster, KY; two grandchildren, Chasity and R.J. Carrender and one great-grandchild.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bulan Carrender, eight brothers, Herbert, Johnnie, Elmer, Sylvester, Tommy, Benny, Delbert, and WM Junior Begley, four sisters, Lucy Mae Brown, Alma Hill, Mildred Shanks, and Alice Faye Begley, who died at infancy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. Her funeral service will follow at 1:00pm with Bro. Joe Cox officiating. Burial will be at Cooks Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
